A-010How it works

The loop, station by station

How one link becomes a scope, a quote and an accepted contract

Six stations, in the order a real job runs them. Each one shows what you do, what your client sees on their phone, and what Briked keeps as the record.

14 days from approval, card required, cancel before it ends. A person reads every application, usually the same day.

Structured scope

Answers come back as a scope, not a message thread.

The questions are about this job, in your client’s words, with room for photos and a voice note. What reaches you is a structured scope: rooms, work items, and quantities where the client knows them, each line labelled as theirs. Nothing is priced yet and nothing is invented on your behalf — you are reading a description, not an estimate.

Indicative range

An early range, clearly labelled a range.

You can let a client see an indicative range while they answer. It is built from your own rate card, never another contractor’s, and it is a range — the only price on the job is the quote you send after you have seen the site. You choose which jobs get one and how wide it is, and you can leave it off entirely.

A range, not a price. Built from your rate card, and it narrows once you have seen the site.

Priced scope

Your rates, your lines, and where each number came from.

The scope lands in a grid with your rate card behind it. Every line says where it came from: your client reported it, you measured it on site, it came off your rate card, or Briked drafted it and is waiting for you. Drafted lines sit under the amber rail and count for nothing until you accept them. Change a rate once and every line using it follows.

Quote

You decide how much of the detail your client sees.

The priced scope becomes the quote your client reads. One dial sets how much of it shows: a single total, a handful of sections, or every line. Your rates and your margin stay yours at every setting. Send it as a link on WhatsApp and they open it on the phone in their hand — no attachment to download, no login.

Contract

A tap, a 6-digit code, and a record of both.

Your client accepts the quote and confirms with a 6-digit code sent to their phone. Briked records what they accepted, the version they were reading, the time, and the number the code was confirmed on. You get the contract record and the payment milestones; they get a copy they can reopen any time. No printer, no scanner, no courier.

The channel

When does WhatsApp enter the process?

WhatsApp is a step in the loop, not a contact button. Five moments use it: the scope link goes out, the answers come back, the quote goes out, the acceptance code arrives, and the milestone reminders go out. Everything between those moments lives in Briked, so the thread stays short and the record stays whole.

The five moments

  1. The scope link goes outYour client
  2. The answers come backYou
  3. The quote goes outYour client
  4. The acceptance code arrivesYour client
  5. Milestone reminders go outYour client

Between those five, nothing needs WhatsApp. The scope, the rates and the record stay in Briked, so the thread stays short and nothing important lives in a chat you have to scroll.

Provenance

Every number keeps its source.

Open a line six months later and it still says where it came from. What the client reported, what you measured on site, what your rate card priced, and what was drafted for you and then accepted by you are four different labels, and they stay attached. When a client asks why a number is what it is, the answer is on the line.

  • Client reported

What your client told you on the scope link. It stays theirs, and it stays visible.

  • Measured on site

What you or your team measured on the visit. It replaces the client’s number and says so.

  • Your rate card

The rate that priced the line, and the version of the card it came from.

  • AI draft — awaiting you

Drafted for you, under the amber rail, doing nothing until a person accepts it.

The four labels a line can carry

General notes

  1. An indicative range is a range, not a price. Only the quote you send your client is a price.

  2. A person accepts every number before it leaves your company. Nothing drafted by AI becomes the record on its own.

  3. Your client never pays for Briked. Answering your scope link, reading your quote and accepting it are free for them, always.

  4. Your rates, your scopes and your clients stay yours. We never show one contractor’s work to another. Read the data promise

  5. The trial runs 14 days from the day we approve your application. A card is required to start it. Trial terms

Common questions

Does my client need an app or an account?

No. The scope link opens in the browser they already have, from WhatsApp, SMS or a QR code. They answer, read the quote and accept it without installing anything or making a login — and it is free for them, always.

How much of my evening does this actually save?

The part that disappears is retyping a message thread into a spreadsheet. The scope arrives already structured and already attached to photos, so what is left is the judgement work: the site visit, the quantities you want to check, and the rates you want to confirm.

Is an indicative range a price?

No. A range is a range. It is built from your own rate card to give your client a sense of the job while they answer, and you decide whether to show one at all. The only price on the job is the quote you send after you have seen the site.

Who can see my rates and my scopes?

You and the people you invite. Briked never shows one contractor’s rates, scopes or clients to another, and your client sees only what your disclosure setting shows them — never your rates and never your margin.

Is acceptance with a 6-digit code the same as a signature?

It is an acceptance record, not a scanned page. Briked stores what was accepted, the version that was on screen, the time, and the phone number the code was confirmed on. How that sits alongside your own contract terms is a question for your legal adviser.

Does it work in Arabic?

Yes. Your client can answer and read the quote in Arabic or English, and you can work in the other one. Briked is built in the UAE, for UAE renovation and fit-out contractors, with Western digits and AED throughout.

What happens to the photos and voice notes my client sends?

They attach to the scope lines they explain, so the photo of the bathroom sits on the bathroom items rather than in a chat you have to scroll. They stay inside your project, and your client can ask for their copy to be deleted.

Scope it, quote it, get it accepted — on your next job, with your rates.
